Les Jardins d’Etretat, Normandy • On France’s northern coast, Les Jardins d’Etretat once belonged to Madame Thebault, a French actress and friend of Claude Monet, who regularly visited to paint. Inspired by that heritage, landscape architect Alexandre Grivko created a garden that blends contemporary art and sculptural planting to striking effect. This image, a finalist in the International Garden Photographer of the Year awards, was taken by the aptly named Richard Bloom. A series of exhibitions of some of the photographs are being held around the UK over the coming monthsigpoty.com
